knee replacement

Well, the deed is done. I have a new knee. The old one was signicant worn out. The dr. said the knee cap was wearing out and would have only lasted another few months at the most. I am really hoping that the left knee never goes out. I don't want to go through this again.

I have to go back to work in about 2 1/2 weeks and I can see that it will be hard. We bought a cheap rocker to put in the office so that I have a comfortable place to sit.

To top off a really bad week, our fridge died and we had to get a new one. That was an expense we had't planned on.

We enjoyed Alex and Gayle's visit. Gayle looks great and we had fun with both of them.

For my birthday, we bought 2 bikes. We thought that we needed an alternate transportation system. So now we have to ride them often enough to get over the sore bottom problem. We started by riding the bikes home (all down hill). now we have to get used to to riding uphill first.

Everyone says that I have not be very good at keeping up with my blog. I'll try to start today and write at least once a month.

So as you can see from the picture we have been busy this last week. Aaron and Monique and family were here for a week. All the grandkids got to go to Jumping Jacks. Then we met at Aaron's favorite place to eat In and Out Burgers. The next day we took them the the dinosaur foot print park. I think that Aaron, Monique and grandpa got more out it than the kids. Maybe when they get a little older they'll enjoy it more. Grandpa went on a couple of hikes with Aaron's family'

I had to go to Vegas for a meeting on Tuesday and once again I ended up in a room with a double jaccuzi bathtub and Ken at home.

We are looking forward to seeing Alex and Gayle next week.
